CE for boat

Postby linus on Thu Apr 30, 2009 5:37 pm

Hi,

I found on your list of self certifiable products also recreational crafts. I bought a used yacht (< 24 mt) some years ago in Singapore and I would like to bring back in Europe (I am an EU resident). According the info I found until now the boat would require a Post Construction Assessment and also engines must comply with emissions and noise levels. It's that correct?

May I proceed myself learning with your support or I will need a Notified Body to be involved? If the latter case what does it mean exactly?

Thank You in advance

Linus

Linus,

Only small boats to be used in internal waters and coastal waters may be self-certified.
CE Self-Certification That Cuts Out the 3rd Party. Not the Credibility.
